ABOUT BRADY

Brady Hummel (they/them) is a Chattanooga, TN-based freelance writer, editor, audio producer, audio editor, and communications consultant. They are queer, autistic, and non-binary. 

​

Brady has extensive experience writing and editing for blogs, publications and organizations, and they have produced interview and narrative podcast series for clients. They primarily focus on stories in sustainability/climate action, social justice, and community development. 

​

In June 2021, Brady published "CURTAIN CALL: Or, How I Stopped Performing and Embraced my Queer, Autistic, and Non-Binary Authentic Self," and they are publishing a weekly Substack newsletter, "The In-Between with Brady Hummel (they/them)," to share radically honest and transparent letters about their personal growth journey and what's helped them along the way.

Brady has always been passionate about storytelling, and they believe that stories change the world. 

​

They draw inspiration for their personal writing from authors like Don DeLillo, Toni Morrison, Ralph Ellison, Sam Shepard, Elizabeth Kolbert, Joan Didion, and Colson Whitehead, among others. 

​

Brady graduated from Dickinson College with a B.A. in Economics, where they studied the intersection between community development, sustainability, and economics. After growing up in central Pennsylvania and spending three years in Atlanta, they now live in Chattanooga, Tennessee with their dog, Bailey.
